This is an incredible deal. Best price on a 3060 by far.
Anyone lamenting on cooling, proprietary case etc. are missing the point. This machine will serve all 1080p games for at least five years. Remember even 1060 can serve just fine at 1080p today. These are extremely low power components and 400 watt is perfectly fine. 3060 is right between a 2070 Super and 2070. This has a very good integrated GPU capable of playing a lot of e-sports games at 1080p, and most AAA games at 720p, so you can add the 3060 to a better CPU and still have a useful computer.

Nobody is going to upgrade something like this. They will use it until it is dead. HP is the #1 PC manufacturer in America for good reason.
How exactly are they missing the point? Unless you're buying a 3060 to do office work, you're severely limited with this PC unless you straight up pull the GPU out and sell it. Why? Because the case is not great for cooling, and it already struggles with the heat of a 2060.
But you don't have to take my word for it, here's an in-depth analysis on the Pavilion. You want to tell Steve that he's missing the point? Would you care to divulge your credibility and why we should take your word over his?
Don't get me wrong, I think this is a pretty decent deal. But, Let's not pretend that the case and proprietary stuff is okay for long term ownership. This is dip your toe in the water stuff.

The previous poster was just saying that you can basically get two machines out of this, making it a better deal than you might initially think...at least I think that's what he was saying. I do think it's a great deal, but thinking of it in that context opens it up as an upgrade for myself and my wife (I'm not doing it, but it made me think twice).

It is just a Youtuber/DIY-stan doing videos for hits and making entertaining statements about pre-builts. He talks smack about pretty much every prebuilt under $2000, even Alienware's. Is it top quality? Of course not, but support cost is expensive and HP sells more of these than any DIY can ever dream of, and they are reliable and durable for their price, as good as any other pre-built, that is all it matters. These are also low power components and durability is not a concern at all. It is not a i7 / 3080, it doesn't need any more power than 400 watt and nobody buying this cares about upgrades, maybe they will add memory or another HD/SSD, that is it. They are not going to upgrade the CPU, motherboard or power supply, they will just give rest of the system to kids and it still plays Roblox / Fortnite just fine.
This deal is going front page with the 15% OFF. The Walmart $999 deal on 3060 was good, this is a <$700 RTX 3060, it hopefully is a taste of what is to come this Black Friday. FYI I am most likely going to wait for a higher end system, but I would buy it in a heart beat if I am looking for an entry level gaming system. $700 1660 Super's go front page, this is a RTX 3060! Can't wait to see Dell's counter punch. I personally like XPS better and will look for a XPS/Omen/Alienware deal hopefully with similar discount %.
