FYI there appears to be a limit associated to Address. I couldnt not figure it out for the longest time until I changed address on my second order. Observations:

- max order of (3) for non-business account on first tranaction to Address1
- able to get to checkout (1) additional drive to Address1 for second transaction
- anything with qty 2-3 to Address1 for second transaction returns an error and cannot continue
- order for (3) drives to Address2 on second transaction has no issues

I would imagine that it would be difficult to do but if you get the right employee I suppose it might be possible.

Getting the coupon in the first place can be problematic depending on the employee though.
It's not difficult at all. Their point of sale system handles online orders equally well to in store purchases. I ordered an Asus router not carried in store with the 15% trade coupon all through the main check out at the store.

Wow, this is good info to know. Thank you!
Year2020 had new 18tb HDD launched around $650 in August and 14tb/16tb marked down to $190/$220 in Oct.
This year manufacturers are finally introducing 20tb around $680 now and 16tb and 18tb will have the lowest price around December to January I guess.
we already have 18tb @$300 @newegg but was not that slick, you know. we can have 18tb them around $270 at least

Thanks for this. So none of the stores near me have it in stock it seems. Am I able to buy online and take in receipt and get a refund for the trade in value?

I traded in an old 256mb compact flash, and my friend did with 512mb sdcard.

you need to trade in any storages from any manufacturers literally. you need to teach them a word by word.

SSD, cloud, etc. Pretty much anything but a spinning external hard drive.
SSDs are MUCH more expensive and actually less reliable. My 4x 1.5TB WD that were shucked from the exact same WD easystores 15 years ago and have been working 24/7 ever since are still to show any signs of trouble.

Cloud is MUCH slower.

Your "etc." is bullsh!it. Other than tape backup (ridiculously slow), there's nothing else that would fall under your "etc.".

So, basically you have nothing. No alternative to suggest. But still find it necessary to keep posting the same nonsense in this thread.

I have 14 drives running on my Truenas server 24/7 since 2013 and not one failure....

The downside though to these large drives is rebuild time of the RAID would take forever vs the 3TB drives I am using.
Raid is obsolete on large hdd. You're better off with unRAID.

All depends on your internet connection. If you have gigabit fiber, 8TB would take about a day. If you have a typical 10 megabit cable service, about 3 months.
Amazon and some cloud companies will mail you hdds for you copy your data into and mail it back to them when dealing with large amounts of data.

Actually I use Truenas, very reliable. I agree hardware raid is obsolete. ZFS is the way to go for data reliability.

Ok, so instead of $14.285/TB, it's actually $28.57/TB. And then when (not if) one fails, it will cost even more when you have to replace it.
You understand that not all Data is critical right? I like having 60 days of 4K surveillance but if it crashed it would be okay until I replaced it. I wouldn't lose anything because my server had parity but still.

Love this price but I'm hoping we see other sizes (8tb) also go on sale soon. Getting nervous we're not going to get a good sale for black friday.
