Is this better than the Costco monitor? Just need something for office work and maybe some light gaming.

Costco has an LG Ultragear rated at 160hz for 249. Seems like a better deal than this.

That one isn't ultrawide.

An ultrawide that big needs to be curved if you're sitting at a desk viewing it. Especially if it's a VA panel. Curved is a must for an ultrawide IMO.

I bought and returned a couple months ago. AMA
I will say though, that the colors sucked ass and I kept feeling as if they were lacking. Also, it was just way too big to be utilized for my usecase, which was to have it right in front of me. You'll definitely need a curved monitor for that. Text also looks hazy and stand is huge but i think it has VESA

Any monitor needs to be setup and calibrated. I've been through several monitors over many years, and not one was ready to go out of box

I believe some people have overclocked this to around 100hz.

I think with this monitor though it looks washed out regardless. Like I could see from a mile away this monitor was cheap when I stopped by Costco to buy it. Every other monitor was sharp and bright, and this one was just washed out and dull..thought fiddling with the settings would change it but nope.

I'm pretty sure this is the monitor I purchased from Costco about a year ago. I use it 75% productivity 25% gaming.

I agree with the other user regarding this size monitor being curved. Mine is mounted to the wall, my desk is 24." If I am sitting in a mouse and keyboard position, the setup requires me to turn my head depending on what I'm doing.

I'm very happy with this monitor. For my use and set up, I would not buy a curved...mainly because it is mounted to my wall.

So I had this monitor and ended up returning it, but it is decent enough, especially for a ultrawide that isn't outrageously expensive.

I ended up returning it because I preferred using a dual monitor setup for my workflow. You just end up getting more space with two normal sized monitors that with one ultrawide.

But if you're someone that can only really have a single monitor setup and don't need the best color accuracy, it's a good looking monitor that has an attractive price for its resolution and size.
