There's comments like this in every MacBook Air M1 thread, but have no clue what they're talking about. Look into how this thing actually performs instead of thinking it's the same as the Intel chipsets with 8gb of ram.

Yes it is. Its a great laptop in most ways, and I really wanted to keep MacBook AIr (got it for $800 at Micro Center last Feb). The battery lasts forever and there's no fan noise or heat. Everything is snappy. But after a couple days I had blurry vision and eye strain. After ending use I could drive to a store or something and vision would still be still blurry. After a week of use my vision just went to heck and distorted all the time. I loathe PWM

So if you purchased this item and the Apple Care warranty -- the Apple Care runs concurrently with the 1st year manufacturer and supersedes the first 2 years of Costco Concierge coverage. 3 years of coverage with accidental damage incl (yes their are deductibles with accidental damage fixes via AC+)

Then if you had purchased with the Costco Citi Visa, the last 2 years of coverage (totaling 5) starts up when the AC+ expires. However, this coverage only mirrors the 1 year default manufacturer warranty, with no accidental damage coverage included.

Still nice to get 5 years of at the least, mnftr warranty terms. All of this playing out would require you keep your Costco membership and Visa card active/up-to-date throughout the coverage period.

I purchased the silver model but now am rethinking it and want to get the space gray model. I ordered it for pick up in the warehouse. Will I be able to easily swap for the space gray when I go and pick it up or would you recommend I order a space gray and try and cancel the silver? I've never purchased for pick up at Costco so not sure what the most efficient option is. Thanks for the input.

Have this laptop and it's awesome, I jumped from Windows to this and it's night and day, for the spec it just doesn't slow down or show any signs of being overwhelmed for the things I do (regular media consumption and light data science).

probably meant 360 folding laptop, which wont happen for macbook air.

Nothing at all! They are both great colors and could flip a coin on it. I'm upgrading from my 6 year old HP Spectre and had it in silver so thought it would be nice to have something different since I plan to use this for at least 6 years too.
