Costco has the Surface Pro 8 Bundle with an extra $150 off starting today (online price of $1,349.99 down to $1,199.99). Recall that Costco's bundled deal was already ~$130 cheaper than competitors. So now it will be ~$280 of savings

New Microsoft Surface Pro 8 Bundle - Intel Evo Platform 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 - 2880 x 1920 Display - Windows 11 - Graphite
- Note this is the i5 / 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD version.
- Black Keyboard: https://www.costco.com/.product.100803898.html
- Ice Blue Keyboard: https://www.costco.com/.product.100803966.html

Costco now also has several other builds including the i7 processor with 16GB RAM / 256GB SSD ($1,699) and also 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD ($1,999 - not worth it IMO). Neither has the additional $150 manufacturer's discount unfortunately though. You can find various builds here: https://www.costco.com/CatalogSea...face+pro+8

I had purchased the $1,199 version so will need to get a price adjustment. I also just purchased an i7.

Good price for the SP8 but expensive against the relevant completion (Macbook Air, Dell XPS, Samsung Galaxy Pro, etc.) Depends on how much you value the 2-in-1 use
This is personally the laptop I wanted. +1

I recommend avoiding the Surface Pro line until they've fixed the swollen battery issue.

And since Microsoft hasn't done the right thing and addressed it as a class issue, I recommend avoiding Microsoft Surface hardware in general.

Do you have a "surface" alert so you can get in here in a matter of minutes to threadcrap?

This is ONLY a good option if you like the portability form factor. Note it is NOT comfortable typing on this on your lap. So a no go for chilling in the couch/bed. Although that could be solved with accessories

I've owned every Surface Pro version except the SP7, I've never had one single battery issue EVER! They've sold millions of these things, and a few are likely to have issues, but the numbers are so small it's not even worth worrying about. Remember, the people that DON'T have battery problems, don't post anything anywhere.

I have had 6 or 7 surface products over the years. Never an issue. My mother in law is still rocking her SP3 with no problem. Seems some people just like to be sad all the time.

It's not a matter of being sad - there are plenty of posts about it. Go get a hug and learn some empathy. Just because it doesn't impact you doesn't mean it isn't a thing because it is. I have owned a few and never had the issue, my a colleague had the issue on his Surface Book.

The Surface line has a much higher customer dissatisfaction rate than most computer manufacturers that is verifiable so unless you have some actual hard facts it's best you speak out of the other end.
According to JD Power, most computer problems are HP. So which end is that?

We had the battery We bought 2 new surface pros in 2016. The one my wife used formed a bulge in the left lower side. This was noticed when it went into an endless loop of errors and rebooting. Mine never had that problem. She kept her machine plugged in all the time. That may have made the issue worse. I know this because I tore her machine down before in disposed of it.

Having said that, we had these 5 years and really liked them. Im going to assume this is not an issue on these models. We just upgraded to SP8's last month and I just got $300 price adjustment.

Isn't the 799 Costco deal on the 7+ better?

My surface pro 4 stopped recognizing the keyboard. Has anyone had this issue.

Looking to upgrade if unfixable. Debating between SP8 or Surface laptop 4
