I honestly thought these weren't worth it for the longest time until I put it up on my kitchen island. Now for a quick charge I just plop my phone down and when I need to run out the door I pick it up without fuss. I got it included with my case for $40 total from Costco. For $30 I probably wouldn't buy it but $25 and below I may pick up another one
The dumb part is that only "apple authorized" magsafe chargers are allowed to charge iphones at 15w, otherwise it is capped at 7.5w. So basically third party magsafe manufacturers like Belkin have to pay apple to unlock the full charge speed. Apple found a way to profit from people buying non-apple branded accessories.
they've been profiting for years. Ever heard of the MFi certification for cables?

These easy to slide off with one hand as you pick up your phone 𤷠āļø
Overpriced at $40, yes. But that's nothing new with Apple accessories. I for one am glad Google and Apple stopped packing in chargers ā I have so many extra usb wall warts it's embarrassing, so I'd rather save a couple bucks and help out the planet

Help our planet? You must be on fantasy island or something, Our planet is constantly being polluted with so many face mask, plastic, and toxic waste floating in our water system that we as a species is slowing dying a slow death.
You're not wrong, but I'm still glad to see global companies finally starting to make small changes that actually have an impact. Apple sold over 200 million phones last year. This year they removed a lot of plastic from the packaging itself, not just the charger. It's a step in the right direction, and other companies will certainly copy Apple š¤·

Tried to order, VZ site will not take any payment I submit. As guest, I don't have Verizon.
Cap1 texted verification code and successfully added, but "couldn't process" payment at the end. It actually gave me push "purchase was approved" from Cap1 app but an immediate credit back. Tried iOS/Mac/PC between Chrome and then Safari on the Mac. It just will not go through?
For the record I'm trying to order on VZ instead of WM/TGT/AMZN because of C B site offer for extra 10.5 % but who knows that commission link might be precisely the problem?
