So depending on the color it automatically changes from unlocked to T-Mobile options.

For me I had to make sure it was the T-Mobile option, otherwise I was only getting $90. At that time only gray/black 128Gb version worked

finally got this to work. seems like the prices are going up and down on both the phone and trade in values.

Can anyone post experience with the trade in? Do they give you some time to transfer your data or should you be prepared to walk in and hand over your device with no ability to transfer from the old phone to the new?

Coming late to the party here and I read thru the thread but didn't find an answer. So, greatly appreciate if someone can help confirm.

The trade-in values are still good for a T-mobile phone with upgrade option. If bestbuy online allows me a trade-in against an existing tmobile number, is there a possibility that it would mess my current plan? I have 5+ lines on a legacy plan and don't want to risk it if they auto upgrade the line for any reason. I am hoping this is just a device upgrade against current/existing line but wondering if someone can confirm before I proceed.
Also, the trade is split into two components, "trade-in allowance" and "trade-in Promotion" but both of them seem to be instant credit vs monthly credits. Anyone know how any t-mobile specific component affects the plan?

Device upgrade at bestbuy won't affect your plan.

i just purchased a S20 FE 5G for 470 the other day unlocked.. that was with trade in.. and im canceling the plan.

i have another trade in which if i just do comes out to 455

so not sure what to do here lol
