I'm impressed the batteries are 3 amp. I'm not in the hitachi line but am tempted as these are the two tools I'm looking to pick up.

I had this bought a month ago and returned because the hard case took a lot of space. Then I went and bought Bosch, Black and Decker and Dewalt and lol hated them. Regretted returning the impact driver. I have reordered again. The impact driver is really one of the best ones out there in terms of build, quality and power.

I bought this a week ago, searched for a whole week, and decided to keep it.

1. I'm not a pro user, occasional use, so the lifetime warranty sounds good to me.
2. As someone mentioned, 2 3Ah batteries. None other below $200 kits offer this.
3. Very compact, yet powerful. Impact wrench is smaller than my craftsman 12v drill.
4. Both hammer drill and impact driver are considered top 3 in their own categories.

After some light use, I Really like this kit. Only cons would be poor quality case, and noisy charging due to fan cooling.
This is THE best purchase if you want a small and powerful drill & driver.

I have the hitachi version of this impact gun. It feels less powerful than my dewalt impact gun. When installing windows several years back it would struggle to remove screws that the dewalt was able to turn.

I mean DeWalt XR series is muh more powerful but also cheapest those hammer drill combo kits get on SD is $180-$200 range. This looks like excellent value of one didn't mind a different ecosystem or was starting fresh

Had these as a backup and sold them. Impact was fine. Liked it actually, but for my 18v tools I prefer my Makita stuff, or at least the Hitachi Triple Hammer impact. That one's a beast. The drill here was just OK for me. Chuck was a led down and always came loose under reverse load.

For the money here they're certainly capable. But small tool line and average performance made me part with them.

I bought the 7 tool kit yesterday $400. Completed a shower install today. Very good quality kit. I just had a dewalt brushed 18v from a BF sale 10 years ago. I liked the hand feel of these best out of anything from Lowes/HD. This is a solid deal for the combo. Big upgrade to my brushed dewalt.

I own those DeWalt tools. I have owned Hitachi in the past, and Mikita, and the Hitachi was my favorite driver.

I also have about a dozen other DeWalt tools so if it were me, I would go with the DeWalt for that reason. If you are not going to buy a circular saw, blower, impact wrench, sander... this deal is fine
