I had this and had to uninstall it when it ate batteries like crazy. I tried Alkaline, Lithium and even regular Heavy Duty and none lasted past a few days.

No, this does not have Smartkey function, so they would be wrong. No hole next to key. The similar Smartcode 915 model has Smartkey for example

I wouldn't buy this. I bought the Sifely Deadbolt and some chrome door handles without a lock. Love unlocking the door with the app or sending 1 time use codes to people to enter themselves. Had it for a half a year still hasn't replaced the batteries.
Those send an easily intercepted signal that includes the key in unencrypted form(clear text) that can be used to open the door or change the code. While you're at work or sleeping inside, they can walk right in.

I have two of these and use both very often, replaced batteries once in 3 years.

Yeah most security cameras can be hacked too but I'm still using it. I'd be more worried if someone breaks in by the window than by a smart Deadbolt. At least through a window they might be in my home....with the Deadbolt hacked they will be in my sunroom looking at another door lol.
The wire that goes next to the cylinder assembly is thin and can get caught during the lock/unl movement. Ensure that there is enough room , or protect the wire with some elect. Tape.
There pretty good imho, except for the detail that I mentioned above
Is it possible to turn off the SecureScreen "feature" on this lock. I'd like to use it for my rentals, and I'm afraid all those random digits before the code is entered will just confuse the guests. Thx!
