Reviews on reliability are concerning. At least when you use panel separately there's a chance to use camera without it if panel malfunctions with this setup it's not possible.

Plus, you can buy cam 2 pro 2k for 99 and buy a panel for $30-40. Which brings us to the same amount

Paid $199 (so great price) when this came out with an indoor camera a few months ago. The integrated solar is ineffective. I have this in a similar location to where panels are and the battery is already down in the low 20% with minimal triggers for recording.
As much as I like my other eufy cameras this one is a dud.

Interesting idea, and I generally like Eufy (though wished more of their cameras allowed continuous recording, especially non-battery models), but it feels like combining the panel and the camera adds an extra restriction if you want to put the camera somewhere that is just out of reach of the sun. I have a camera under an eave of the roof/gutter and the solar panel on top to get more sun.

I've had this camera mounted and in use since the 17th. It's not being blocked by an eave or anything and gets pretty good sunlight. Since the 17th, it has charged about 151 mAh from solar. To give you perspective, the app says that 300 mAh is roughly equivalent to 2% of the battery power. It's currently on 41% battery after 11 days and 215 detected events, so I definitely wouldn't expect 4 months of battery life.

The detection can also be hit or miss. I would say it catches 75 to 80% of events, but once in a while it just straight up doesn't detect somebody walking up to my door. It's not installed far and I have active zones set up.

Be cautious with this one.
