This deal is on Slickdeals already, but posted (since 11/21) under "Computers" rather than SSDs so anyone looking in SSDs will be SOL.
We really need Slickdeals functionality to correct that kind of thing.
This is a fast, but not top of the line, Gen4 Read/Write 5600/4300 MB/s drive, TLC, DRAM, and respectable endurance (850 TBW for a 1TB drive). Based on the specs, this seems like a better deal than the Adata 840 at only $5 more.
Yes, it very much works with PS5.

Yes lol just from looking at stock photos it's way too tall.
But for $5 I would probably still get it and save it. But you will still need a smaller one if using in a PS5.

So it worked fine with that huge heatsink?
Nice video; gave it a like. :-)
What was the speed according to the PS5?
Edit: nvm 5636 MB/s saw your video. That's interesting similar to the 980 Pro which I just purchased last night. Seems like a good price for 2TB.
It might work but probably can't fit the bay cover of PS5 back on.

It will fit if you don't re-install the factory cover over the ssd. That's what I plan to do, install a larger heatsink on the ssd and remove the factory ssd cover.
The stock design with the ssd cover on doesn't allow for fresh air to flow across the ssd. I think Sony did that to reduce dust but I'm ok with the possibility of more dust in exchange for better cooling, it's very easy to remove the console's cover to clean the heatsink.
If you want to keep the ssd cover installed here's a link to an inexpensive heatsink that should fit under the cover, $8.99 plus a 20% coupon...

Haven't seen any reports of them doing the bait and switch for the cs3040 (the model in this deal) or their other high end models. But yeah the truth is, all the major SSD MFG have been caught doing some kind of bait and switch on their lower or mid range models unfortunately. WD and Samsung come to mind as other examples.
