Stacksocial [stacksocial.com] has AdGuard Lifetime on sale. Coupon code BFSAVE40

QA note: Coupon only applies to Family plan. Personal plan is $19.99

Compared to their free version, this has
  1. Mobile app support
  2. PC/Mac software support (no need to have separate extensions on multiple browsers.)

It saves me ton of time everyday, so I would say it is worth it.

Edit: Link added. Sorry!

Yes, you click share on the YouTube video you want to watch and share it to ad guard and it will skip/block all ads. At least that's how it works on the Android one.

Just install youtube Vanced and you won't have to worry about ads or sponsor promotions.

NO. My wife and I still see ads on the regular YouTube app on Android. Annoying as hell. Only works on PC correctly.

Nothing will stop all the YouTube application ads. What I do is just make a browser shortcut to YouTube.com and uninstall the YouTube app and it this Adguard works great. Else, if you must have the app, you have to start with the YouTube app then share the video from the YouTube app to Adguard app to remove the ads, which also works very well bit a but cumbersome.

Toss the youtube app, use Safari's adguard extension to skip the ads. Sorry its not a solution but it does get the job done for me.

If you dont want the ads, uninstall the google sh!t, dump android, and get fastmail.

I use it without installing the root certificate. It's up to 75% effective. I have a widget on the main screen to toggle it off and on. It works very well. I bought the family plan a few years ago and have it on all of my Android devices.

Yes just set it up on my Android.

It doesn't block ads on either app.

I personally don't see a reason to purchase this, but for people who are interested in knowing what this does...

This subscription will give you access to enable premium ad filters + fake VPN(basically points back to the localhost/0.0.0.0) on the device(iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux) you install the app. If you want to block banner ads on iOS or Android apps then you have to trust the VPN certificate, or else your ad blocking capability will be limited to the default device browser(example Safari on iOS)

If you only care to block ads on the default mobile browser then app with basic filters without subscription is good enough.

If you only care to block ads on the PC browsers then extension is more than enough.

AdGuard code is OpenSource, you can find it on github: https://github.com/AdguardTeam

As far as I know AdGuard has three products
1. PC Browser Extension - available pretty much in all browser extension marketplaces. You can block ads on all the websites you visit, In the past it worked on YT ads, hulu and others, not sure whether it is the same now.
2. AdGuard VPN - you can use this to unblock geo restricted content just like any other VPN service out there.
3. AdGuard Home - this is basically a local DNS (exactly like a Pi-hole), installing it on a cheap device like RasPi + configuring the DNS on the router will give you ad blocking option at the router level, means any devices that is connected to the router will be ad-free. Let me be clear, it will not skip the YT ads, Hulu ads, or any ads on the music apps. Yes it will block all banner ads(if any) in those apps. This method will leave an empty pixel in the place where the ad is blocked, meaning it won't shrink or reorganize the webpage like the PC browser extension. Once you are off your network you will see ads(obvious Smilie).
This works system-wide, and not only in Chrome or any other browser.
Just get a raspberry pi zero and set up pi hole . Don't give your data to rando companies

And one would use this instead of uBlock Origin because? Why pay for something you can get for free?

This works system-wide, and not only in Chrome or any other browser.

Works on Mobile is the biggest reason I paid for it. I don't know if it's drastically better on Windows, but it is system wide which is nice.

Where are you seeing this? If you are going to post a deal, a link is pretty much required.

I searched StackSocial and found a 'deal' for this, but it shows as $29.99 and coupons are not permitted.

Yes, it's at system level blocking. Blocks ads in apps and games by using inbuilt android vpn.

It looks like there are multiple SKUs for this product, including one (the initial one I found) which has a $10 store credit and where coupons are not eligible. I found a different listing that the coupon does seem to work on.

Here is the link for everyone else who doesn't want to waste time trying to find it because no one else seems to be capable of sharing something pretty simple:
