1st, very easy to unlock it with Microsoft via Surface support chat. They will create a ticket and should receive an unlock code in a week.
2, camera is bad. And I hope you aren't buying it to be a photographer.
3, Microsoft has kept it's word on monthly security and minor bug fixes. It should receive Android 11 (yep, not 12) in a month or so.
4. Battery is decent and processor is average. It takes a couple seconds to load an app. Once it's loaded, everything is fine. No issue of running any major apps.
5. As much as I love my Samsung Fold 3 as my daily driver, I also love using Duo as my backup and as a tablet reader.
6. Both screens don't have the best touch sensitivity.

Microsoft's just not serious w/ their mobile business.

Hundreds of people on the surfaceduo subreddit say otherwise, myself included. Easy as going to At&t unlock request page, giving them the IMEI and waiting a few days

I use mine solely for Kindle and manga reading. At $400 it does those 2 tasks so well that I don't care for the other deficiencies.
yeah, 399 is still too high of a price to pay for a backup phone/tablet. i might be tempted if this drops to 250, will definitely bite if it drops below 200.
