Solid deal for the price, HP has pretty good build quality for it's laptops these days. Should be a solid entry level machine.
Can you point me to a good example please if possible for photo/video editing and digital art, architecture, design etc if possible in the range of approx $1k price range or so (would love something closer to $800 but doubtful) its for my boyfriend 1st laptop for him he has iPad Pro 11 inch 2nd gen but its not cutting it & Im having a hard time choosing & especially dont know enough about it. Any advise is really appreciated
Don't have time to really look them up right now, about but look at gaming laptops, and 16Gb of RAM (or at least upgradable).
Not sure if you are trying to surprise him with this as a present for Christmas, but if he prefers using a Mac/iPad, he may prefer to stick to that platform and not try to use Windows. Not sure of his previous experience and amateur/professional needs, but people tend to stick with one platform or another. If he is using this for professional work and also has an iPhone, he probably prefers to stick with Mac and then would prefer a MacBook or iMac for his graphic design. Just something to think about.
Curious about the display quality. What are your thoughts? TIA. I'm thinking about buying it for my kids.
Nice job

Define good. This will work fine as long as you can wait a bit for large render job.
