$400 manufacturer's savings is valid 12/8/21 through 12/12/21. While supplies last. Limit 2 per member. $1299-$400 = $899.99 plus $9.99* for standard shipping. This is $100 lower than the previous Costco deal and $50 lower than the Newegg deal.

I used this machine as a daily driver for a month. It was alright, and hard to beat the specs for the price. However, it runs hot and throttles a lot because the ultra book form factor just can't cool this thing effectively.

It also can't be used with the lid closed with a dock for instance. When the lid is closed, the fan exhaust is completely sealed, further causing more over heating and throttling problems.

Very nice. Thanks.

By the way this was or is an Intel reference design.

I always feel suspicious about these kind of hinges opening under the chasis. Any experience?
Also I like curved keyboard keys but I noticed at Costco that MSI has flat keys. Not sure about any particular model though.
Is this nice processor compares to 11800H?

Reading reviews of this product online, I see a few complaints about the hinges cracking quickly.

Specs are great, not sure about the build quality. I'm waiting for the Asus Zenbook 14X with similar specs though that's likely to be more expensive.

Thanks.
I read some reviews, the battery works only about two hours.

11800H is 45w processor and doesn't fit in an EVO branded laptop. This has ULV processor running at 15-28w.

Terrible procesor not even close to the power hungry 11800H. For thin and lights like this get one with the 5800U processor. That's probably the best mobile processor for these types of laptops.

This one is barely 4-cores and should never even have been made.

Really? My LG Gram 16 has the i7-1165g7 4-core with even lower clocking, and it's extremely quick. Runs older games just fine at 60hz and no issues doing any other tasks (though photo editing or video editing isn't part of my task list).

This intel reference design fed the old version as many watts as the chip could take within temp limits. If you want lower temps choose a lower perf setting.
