Trying to be super open-minded about it, and treating it like a live-action cartoon type of deal, it was unwatchable. Some cool stuff in it, but I couldn't do it.

~~If you're looking for Japanese audio and English subtitles, you'll have to pass on this deal as it's only English dubbed~~. Also note there are 2 minutes of unskippable ads from Funination on each disc.

I thought it was interesting. It was similar to the anime but different at the same time.

If you enjoyed the semi-unique themes in the original, and you like live action sci-fi you'll like it. Namely cyberpunk space western.

seems like people who loved the anime disliked the live version. Never watched the anime and i enjoyed the show. Its really not as bad as people tried to make it out to be.

That's not true about the audio. Perhaps you're thinking of the iTunes version.

I usually do not watch anime, but I was curious about this original series. I thought the original is much more interesting than Netflix Holywood remake.

Depends how much of a fanboy you are

I love the anime but it's not religion, so I actually thought the live action was pretty fun. I was disappointed (though unsurprised) when it was cancelled.
