Do not compare this to the crappy 11th gen builds, this is not a 11th gen i5 or z590 board, these are the alderlake i5 12th gen processors with the new z690 board.
That user did a bad job with his post, he didn't include the coupon code for the $50 discount nor did he mention the ship date which is instant (huge selling factor here). I believe the refresh here is a good idea.
An 12600 KF and a 3060 ti build for 1400 is definitely not terrible, have you even been paying attention to the market? The 3060 ti alone will run you like 700 dollars if you try to get it separately(IF you can. If you settle for ebay you'll be paying closer to 900) and the processor will be close to 250 if you get a good deal on it. You're looking at close to a thousand bucks just for those two items there without taking into account literally everything else which will almost certainly run you over 400 dollars.

Is ibuypower a good place to get a PC?
Are there any PC system builders that still allow customization but aren't totally screwing you on prices?
I've bought Dells but their custom cases and mobos and even GPUs I dislike.
Some of these system builders totally overcharge on their 2 and 3 year service built into the pricing.
