Was looking for a solution so I don't have to use google voice for checking texts on a second number .. this plan is great as I can make use of the dual sim feature of the phone and check everything under messages/voicemail

What do people use these plans for? Communicating with their mistress?
I use it in a spare Pixel (original). I want to keep the Pixel for the unlimited photo storage.
We have VoIP and sometimes lose power, use the spare phone data instead of using up my 500MB data on my main cell phone (yes, I'm frugal, lol).

We've been using RP for about 4 years, setting up a new phone was the most painful part; out of 6 phones, only 2 got set up online without any problems. One phone took several different days on chat with customer service to get it straightened out (on their end, btw).

Before that we had Ting for 2 years, loved them - very easy to make changes.
My son has had problems with Mint - service is fine, but is a problem trying to renew with any sort of deal.

I've had this plan for an emergency phone for over 2 years, so I renewed it twice. This is the regular price. Doesn't mean they aren't ever going to increase it, but so far I paid the same 3 times.
What the heck is an emergency phone? Do you have an emergency car and emergency house?

My $60 plan with RP is ending soon. Is there any difference in renewing from the RP portal vs eBay?

Can someone help me understand the difference between RP and At&t ? I'm a current unlimited att customer (damn hot rep at bjs) and I'm wondering if i can dual sim on one phone or not and/ or switch over completely? I run a lot of data cause I'm driving all over doing service work on homes.

Also, i am paying for smart line to identify business calls and communicating with clients. Sometimes i cant see client's text messages so I'm currently looking at Google voice but i cant port my SL number... I have all the questions. Lol. I'm also considering having another user to have access to answer calls. Has anyone gone down the rabbit hole before me and can save me headaches?

Is it possible to get new number initially and port in later?
Because I am not sure and want to try it first for coverage.

Can I move a tracfone to this service?
Yes, I recently moved from tracfone (TMO) to RP (ATT) without any major issues. I did have a problem with the phone number port but CS chat took care of it for me by reapplying the security information such as zip code for the port.

What do you mean? They ship a sim card as part of the eBay purchase.

RP can't support esim, so physical sim is the only option. Their best eBay plan on ATT only goes up to 20GB but if you buy from them direct I think it goes up to 50GB. Keep in mind this is prepaid, meaning that postpaid gets prioritized. You may not notice any difference but if your in a heavily congested area like a football game you will. You should look at your actual data usage history and not assume you need unlimited high speed.

I was told that the sim works only after iPhone 6 onwards. Incase, anyone trying to use on older iPhones. But it works well on Android phones.

That's strange. None of my kid's line has this problem. Their phones are on WiFi most of the time. And they never run out of data. Could it be some of your phone's background apps draining the data? 200M is not much. It could be gone in minutes if you are not careful.

The 1% of the time that it is on can easily eat through 200MB data. With this plan, you need to make sure data saver (low data mode) is always on and/or turn off data entirely until you actually need it. Apple Maps chewed through 40MB of data on a 5-mile drive even though I wasn't using the app and low data mode was on. I disabled apple maps from using data, and no more issues after that.
RP blamed the same issue, phone was literally not turned on at all for 2 months as I wasn't even home but I was checking data use via their website. When I got back, I followed their advice and made some changes to ensure data use was restricted. I also made sure to reset the data counter on the device per RP's request and the 3rd and 4th months had the same issue. They made it right by resetting my data balance each time without much fuss but they did ask to send screenshots of the data counter from the device showing the use for that time period. They were puzzled at first because they didn't understand the device wasn't even powered on in the beginning of this process. I got the plan in case I had a need to have the device in the field for app testing knowing it may run out. I have two other lines on RP as well with different carriers but they are the 500mb plans and they don't seem to have this issue at all. Now I'm waiting for thins one to expire, I'll never get it again.

I thought the 60/yr plan was eBay only? I always buy it on eBay and put in the code.
