Some people said you can't drop these, you probably can't. Granted, the max are 25lb, so why would you need to?
I'd say my impression on durability is 4 out of 5, seems solid, but not like they feel like they'll last a lifetime. I think it's just about use - how in the world could these ever breakdown if you just used them for their intended purpose? I can't imagine a scenario where I'd have to replace these over the next 5 years or buy other dumbbells in this size range.
For me, I really like that I didn't pay more $ for a higher weight range, because I don't want a 5lb-50lb set. I just want this for ancillary workouts to my main lifts. The tradeoff in this product is it's max 25lb, not that it's low build quality, and that's the trade I wanted to make.
EDIT: Btw, TU for the deal and repped. This is a great price for what you get. I also work out with a pair of Bowflex 552 dumbbells, but I think I might pick up these CAPs as well. The 552 plates are so dang big; the CAP might be good for high-rep burner sets.

I guess if I would have purchased AFTER the rollback I would have got my refund, what?

$88 still too much given that there are other options from different brands with more weight and cheaper.

Big change is not price matching competitors and there is nothing about adjusting the price during the return window if it drops. This is the main reason a price match policy was implemented back in the 90's. If what you bought went on sale within two weeks instead of you eating it, or smartly returning and buying it again, they just gave you the difference. It avoided people waiting for a sale too. It was all about boosting consumer confidence. Looks like 30 years later it's backpedaling to near pre price match standards, but the returns are longer than ever so screw em lol. They will change it once they realize they have tons of return waste, but the pencil pusher who changed the policy has to figure that out so it's going to be a long wait.
Their price match, as I read it, only works for in store price adjustments at time of purchase compared to walmart.com. The only way what this specific rep said makes sense is if you purchased it in store and were trying to have them adjust the difference later. If that's not the case, that is how they were trying to apply it since their policy currently does not allow anything else. Yes it's confusing and yes I think the policy 'should burn in hell'.
