And just to clarify for everybody, it's a USB-C charging block. It has no USB-A port. It does not come with a cable. It can fast-charge an iPhone using a USB-C to Lightning charging cable.

Yes very fast charging, for iPhone 13
Heat is the ONLY cause of battery degradation. Any charge/discharge cycle creates heat, and that heat is what causes degradation. Higher watt charging does cause slightly more degradation, but so do intensive tasks on the phone, like gaming. The charging chips in smartphones are smart enough to prevent phones from getting too hot while charging. The amount of degradation between charging at 20W vs 5W is negligible, and if you upgrade to a new phone every 3-4 years, you wouldn't notice a difference between the two.
Only iPhone 12 and later. Older iPhones can only charge at 5 watts. If you have an iPhone 12 or later, yes, it does charge MUCH faster

That's only for the 13 Pro Max, and it only charges at 27 watts for a few minutes, then throttles the power back to around 20 watts. The regular models don't support more than 20 watts. And if you're using magsafe, none of them support more than 20 watts.
In my personal experience, yes, works on older phones. I've tested iPhone 6, 6s and 7
