But doesn't the t14s have an aluminum and carbon fiber chassis while the t14 is made of aluminum and plastic? That has to add to the durability, no?

To add more fuel to the debate that 1.8mm key travel is glorious on the t14. The t14s has a 1.5mm key travel, which is better than the m1 MacBooks but 1.8mm is the highly regarded Thinkpad keyboard feel.
T14 Gen 2 also has 3200Mhz ram whereas T14s Gen 2 has 4266Mhz ram. Not sure if that will make a difference.

Everything worked. Was even able to add the bluetooth mouse for only $3 more. Anyone know exactly which AMD card is included? Would it be able to handle some light gaming at 1080p?

What's the "quality" ranking of their many models of business laptops? I have no idea where these pads, books etc fall in line. I assume Thinkpads are still generally top of the line.

How is lenovo with returns? I ordered the $819 13.3 laptop and apparently it will be delivered tomorrow. I'd rather return that and get this. It looks like returns are free and hassle free. Anyone have experience?

Not sure if I should just buy this today and return the other one when I get it.

I'm mostly concerned about the 300 nits on the other version. I'd much rather have 500 nits.
Lenovo has never given me an issue with returns within the return period. No fees or hassle.

Dell hasn't either, but they always make me call/contact them again because they never send the RMA return label like they say they do.

We have two Lenovo Thinkpad twists that are still running strong almost 10 years later. Usually a solid brand in my experience.
Echo that.
I am still using my x230 from 2013. I did swap the hard drive to SSDs. Still runs smoothly for office work and internet browsing

How is the integrated graphics in comparisson to say the macbook m1? That's a reasonable gpu performance for me and I might just get this if it's comparable
The APU has the integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 8 which is decent for light gaming but I wouldn't recommend pushing it as a daily gaming machine. Get an external dGPU or something. Apart from that, of course the Apple M1 8-Core GPU is a better performer.

actually deal still works, just follow instructions. those complaining about gpu, why not just play on the desktop? use this as a business/work laptop, as it is the best quality and value for the price. Plus if you are gaming on the laptop you got loud fans blowing into your face non-stop and it's loud. And playing those games are reducing the lifespan of your laptop. Do you really want that?

Show me a better business/work/school laptop than this for the money.

Thanks for posting this. I just canceled my order for the ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 AMD (13") 20XHCTO1WWUS1. It's like an ~$80 difference for the ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 AMD (14") 20XKCTO1WWUS1 laptop with a larger, high quality display, more RAM, an actual on-board RJ45 port (no adaptor required), and a 4G Mobile Broadband (don't know if I'll use it, but could come in handy). Now just have to patiently wait another month for it to ship
This was from the BF Deal? What are the key comparatives that made you switch? PS: Are the SSD / RAM - CRUs? Replaceable on both?
