I picked this up a couple of weeks ago and just started using it a few days ago. So far I like it a lot!

feels too slow and had to return it. I think it's only good for streaming really. Anything else feels quite sluggish.

No, it doesn't. Costco has the same deal and it comes with a cover.

I'm pretty sure the one Costco has is not quite as good as this one, it's a step down.

Did the one you had come with 2 GB of RAM or with 3 GB? The one with only 2 GB is pretty slow. The one with 3 is no speed demon but it's better than the one with only 2.

8 inch tablet is too small unless you want it for a kid for gaming. 10 inch or larger is the way to go. Works for gaming and streaming when on the go. I have 10.4 inch a7 and it's good for streaming.
Nintendo would kindly disagree, and their screens are smaller. (estimated 100 million sold worldwide)

Actually, an 8" tablet is perfect for gaming and especially emulation. Just need an extendable controller to slide the tablet in and enjoy all kinds of gaming!

This tablet is weak-sauce and slow as molasses. Don't kid yourself about it being good enough for surfing the web, streaming or reading... You won't enjoy it and a fire tablet HD 8 Plus is faster in the video I watched. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc52Iwqx8wU

The sad thing is that there are no powerful android tablets under 10" or so. You have to get a big screen tablet to get good performance. I count myself lucky on getting a Huawei MediaPad M5 8.4". Absolutely destroys anything, in the screen size range, even though its almost 4 years old.

BB product page says this thing has 4 GB of RAM, which is pretty good for a budget tablet I would think. I usually see 2 - 3 GB on the cheap ones.

Oh, I didn't realize that! Even better! 🙂 No wonder it seems faster than the 2 GB version!

As far as the size goes, I returned the 10" tablet that I bought because it was a tad too big for me. Personally I think the 8.7" is perfect for me (everyone's different).

And as far as the speed goes, it depends on what you do with it. It won't win any benchmark speed contests, but I have no issue at all when I'm sitting on the couch reading and sending email, browsing the web, looking at Facebook, that sorta stuff. That's what I bought it for, and I'm totally happy with it.

The slowest device I've ever had....

edit: it's the 4gb version, with a different processor, the old version was really slow, this might be a great deal, sorry

Will this tablet work with the s-pen? The folks at BB said it would, but I am not confident in their response.
