Thanks for the comp. Last time I bought the pouches on a SD deal was July 2020 .. was about $20. Great deal here!

I always wonder about this - they tout that the pouches or those Eco-box designs use less plastic, but they still are plastic/plastic-lined AND unlike the large bottles are not at all recyclable. I know in some communities, a lot of recycling doesn't make it through, but a percentage does so it's worth trying.
But these pouches and the Eco boxes with plastic liners and valves just have to be thrown out… is that truly better since it goes to a landfill guaranteed?
Makes me want to try plastic free and water-free brands like "Sheets" or such that are dissolvable sheets of detergent, so they are convenient but no plastic.

Powdered detergent in a cardboard box seems like a good option, but I haven't tried any in a while to know if it'll work w my machine w cold water.

That's what we did. I figure a $16 thing of sheets will last me close to a year so I'm happy to pay the 100% premium for no plastic junk. Small steps.
