6in bar clamp at HF going for $3 each, and 12 in goes for $4 each, so this set is $6 more compared to HF, but you get a better brand, and probably a bit better quality. Really don't know much about dewalt hand tools.
HF clamps are GARBAGE. they slip often. Ive just about thrown all mine out.
I have about 16 various HF clamps (quick clamp, F style, and alum bar clamp) and they work great for occasional DIY work. Great value overall. But I would agree that they have some quality issues, and if my job depended on me having the most reliable clamps then yeah, I'd pay a lot more for that.
And when it comes to F style bar clamps, go cheap. Because in the end, they're almost all made in the same place.
The only "better" version are the Jorgensen.
In the end, buy a Bessey, Irwin or Dewalt, clamp, and you just paid too much for a clamp you could've got at HF for less.
.
If one will compare the Jorgensen bar clamps to these DeWalt, besides the color, they are identical.
I expect Jorgensen is making these for DeWalt and for $20 a set, a decent deal. I say decent because even with currency debasement, I bought a bunch of Jorgensen's from Lowes a couple of years ago after Christmas for $15 a set, but they were $20 on sale.

Started out with HF clamps and then sold them all. You get what you pay for, the handle slips the metal bar is thin and bends under load. I would love to have all US made or german made clamps but even the ones out of china are not created equal. Just look at the metal bar thickness and width and you'll quickly realize what the difference is.
