I bought this off a previous SD for $25 over the holidays - mainly because I bought the wet/dry vac and I knew that my wife would be upset---UNLESS I brought home the car cleaning accessory kit with it - and I can say this kit is awesome. I've used it 4-5 times since Christmas (3 young kids + a minivan ) - does a great job on the carpets.
FYI the bristle brushes included with this are okay but close to worthless... Do yourself a huge favor and order a couple of the horse hair brushes on Amazon. Some include adapters, some you can get a 3 pack for $11ish with some generic adapters. They're all VASTLY better than any brush included with shop vacs, Dysons, etc. They'll clean dust off of surfaces and little cracks with one or two passes, while the others will take several passes and still leave some behind.
Doesn't the smaller hose Increase the velocity/force? The original port on the vac is 2.25/2.5 inch, reducing the diameter seems like it would Increase the suction.
That's overly simplistic. The reduced diameter of the tubing significantly increases the air flow resistance and thus pressure drop. You cannot replace the vacuum hose with a coffee stirring straw and have infinitely high suction power.
The velocity is increased but the flow rate has drastically decreased.

I think this is smaller diameter than my shop vac hose but it mentions in the description that it has a hose extension couple so I'm hoping they mean to a normal sized hose. If it doesn't though, finding an adapter isn't hard as most things are in the same increments of size. My current hose is not great condition maybe full of holes I might even throw it out. At worst I'll have an extended hose so that I don't have to drag that huge vac to each side of my car to use it down and up my slanted drive way between my roommates car and mine on those beat up wheels they put those on.
Speaking of wheels I was gonna replace those with roller blade like wheels that they make for office chairs so it doesn't fight me when I try to move it around..
Okay SD need advice - which is better overall for power/efficiency: RIDGID 16 Gal. 5.0-Peak HP NXT or RIDGID 14 Gallon 6.0-Peak HP NXT? I have the former, thinking of returning it for the latter as I don't need the extra volume.
They are trying to pimp an additional product so that you will buy it. Its called marketing!! Wow you read their mutterings and believed it. Novice!
Additional product? This kit is the only RIGID product I've ever owned or bought. What additional product are you saying I must buy? A cheaper kind of hose to go with this good one?
BTW, I've never encountered written words (i.e. text) being described as "mutterings". Are you hearing voices in your head?
I feel bad for you that no one in this thread believes you. Instead, everyone keeps saying you're dead wrong. Sorry about that.
I wish you could connect 2 of these hoses together. They have all kinds of adapters except one that connects these 2 orange hoses together. Had to use electrical tape 😩

Sounds like we are are all looking for a 1.25in to 1.25in adapter
