I literally looked at these exact two items in store yesterday. The battery kit alone are $299, and the brushless 6 1/2" circular saw is $179. I would post both links but can't.
So, with the fact that I can get both of these for $199, and not have to pay $498 is a heck of a deal for some people like myself. I'll, wait the 1-2 months if I save $298+.
Thanks OP and great deal.

Any reason to get this vs flexvolt version (when on sale)?
"Up to 250 ft-lbs of max tightening torque and 400 ft-lbs of max breakaway torque" The model in the deal is DCF911, although the commonly available model DCF921 specs have higher torque than the DCF911. Anyone know the differences?
Rated Torque for both appears to be quite lower than the Ridgid wrench(**not compact**) deal here https://slickdeals.net/f/15488101-ridgid-18v-octane-brushless-cordless-1-2-impact-wrench-kit-w-battery-charger-149-free-shipping?src=Si

I've seen the guys on Roadkill always using Dewalt impacts on rusted cars and they work good enough for them!
If you want to cross platforms, but don't want to buy new batteries just buy the off-brand adapter to convert your Milwaukee batteries to Dewalt.
Ecarke MIL18DL Battery Adapter for Milwaukee M18 18v Lithium Battery to DeWalt 18/20v Lithium Tool Battery Adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0978MC...VWNV2
Personally, I only buy Dewalt and tried really hard not to buy into other platforms, but those Milwaukee gen 2 nailers and new Makita multi tool are very tempting. The multi tool has amazing anti-vibration technology, but I hate those "star locking" blades. I have an older Dewalt multi tool and It's hard to use it for long extended time periods.
From what I've read/hoping Dewalt will should be releasing updated versions of a lot of their tools. They already started to with the fantastic impact driver.
Different bundles have different tool prices. If you go with the circular saw, it makes the batteries cost $104, which is a killer deal for 2

My order on Amazon is showing the Impact costs $151 and the battery/charger combo shows $113. Maybe to avoid hacking?

I hacked the Dec one for the router on accident. The router took too long to ship and I went with the Lowes deal. So I cancelled the order. It said I couldn't return only one item since it was a bundle but it cancelled the router and never did a return or anything for the batteries. The price didnt get adjusted either.
They have adapters on ebay. If you only run a tool or two I'd definitely recommend and adapter over running 2 diff battery systems.
