I literally looked at these exact two items in store yesterday. The battery kit alone are $299, and the brushless 6 1/2" circular saw is $179. I would post both links but can't.
So, with the fact that I can get both of these for $199, and not have to pay $498 is a heck of a deal for some people like myself. I'll, wait the 1-2 months if I save $298+.

There are a couple tools that works beyond the ones listed on the click down box.
The flexvolt 7-1/4" circular saw works with this and comes out to $99.50 each for tool and batteries.
The 6.0 Ah flexvolt battery works too at $85.20

I pulled the trigger on the DeWalt multi tool thru Slickdeals. 99 bucks variable speed charger and battery. I regret nothing. Use it almost daily. Rips through 2x4's like butter.

Get a corded Fein. It's great. I love my Dewalt multi but I'm already wallet deep in yellow anyways.
