Why do i feel like this has to do with the Nvidia announcement about their 3050/3060 GPU new pricing

Got the MSI gf65 (RTX 3060, i5, 512GB ssd) for $850 during holiday sales last year and have been happy with it. It has some performance quirks (like having to unplug and replug it to get best performance outta the 3060), but it's been a good value for the price.

There's a way to force using the 3060 as the main display gpu instead of it splitting with intel graphics and nvidia to help with battery life.

Curious - what are you mining (I know crypto , but which ones)
A side question on that, when people say they make, for example $90/month that's with today's prices. Do miners stockpile the coin they mine and take that risk or sell continuously? If you hold you get the call option on the prices but also all market risk.

That's the lower powered one correct? Will the performance be on par with a 2060 (non super)

It's been a few years since I have been on (couple major health issues to deal with). I bought a cheap Dell w/ i3 on sale for $350+ tax for a bring along lappy while in the medical places.

Now I was looking here, because the broken screen now on the Dell, and can hardly belieeve the prices they want for some pretty shabby stats most of the time. I looked over the holidays and basically found no slick deals anywhere on anything.

So I went to my old "plan B". It takes very little work over about one week and always comes out nice.

It's not a "gaming" lappy, but just a general use system it has nice specs for the price (which totals about $45.72 out of pocket) :-)

Whats the story here? I have an M16 with the 3060 and it's been fine, except for one session where it was still showing 120fps on Halo but it felt super sluggish.

Looked up some previous comments about this laptop before pulling the trigger. But ultimately the screen is too much of a let down. I'd rather pay a couple hundred more for a Slim 7 if it goes back on sale soon. Numpad, 300+ nits, better processor and much more color accurate.

The Display is 250 nits 45% NTSC display with poor response time.
The GPU is 60W RTX 3060 with 75W with Dynamic Boost. This is even slower than the RTX 3060 present in the Asus Zephyrus G14 Laptop which can boost up to 80W.

Don't get me wrong, this is definitely a great machine though and at this price point it's still a pretty good deal.
