It is looking like the i3 deal last year for 280 is not going to happen again. Here it is at $329.

Why don't Acer just offer Linux / windows version with same specs. Excellent specs but chrome os is so limiting compared win / Mac.

do yall think this is worth getting even though it's been $40 cheaper? Does anyone know when the 2022 model will come out with the newer processor? If that drops in the next month that might be worth waiting for either for that device or for a sale on this one.

I believe the there is an AMD version of the 513 expected in June for $600.

Not sure about 713 refresh in '22

It's about the target market. The vast majority of people will be fine with what the Chromebook can do, so that's what they sell.

The average users wouldn't want to deal with viruses or webcam drivers. That's why many hotel front desks switched to chrome os.
