This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I went from 110 lb to 185 lbs..EEK!..What pissed me off the most was people standing in the middle of aisles talking while I am struggling to get thru...I always wanted to scream and tell them cant they see an overly preggo lady ready to burst anytime..
Right now I'm at the point where I evidently don't think I have a belly. I find myself STILL trying to squeeze between the cart and checkout and last night I tried to squeeze past DH to get into this spot in our closet. He looked at me like I was crazy when I almost knocked him over with my stomach. It's funny, because I obviously have no sense of this protruding belly.

And crap... MOT2, I just realized I never PM'd you back about a birthday gift idea. Sorry. hug

Been there, done that MANY times.. my son has had about 6-7 EEG s done. For us, the sleep deprevation is not as bad as him complaining about not being able to have any sugar/caffiene for 24 hours before the test. He likes to stay up late anyway, and we just make his appointments for very early in the morning.. The doctor he goes to is 1 hour away, so we need to leave early. He is usually very tired, but still has a difficult time falling asleep for the test. I remember being in the room with him for his first test, he was 4, almost 5.. he just couldn't fall asleep. The tech was getting so aggravated I could tell. He was so miserable and just kept crying. But since that time, all of the rest haven't been too bad..
sending sleepy thoughts your wayZzZZz
How do you keep him awake for the car ride? My son always falls asleep on the way and its only like 20 mins away.

I so totally agree with it is easily to coupon now, can't really imagine trying how to learn with all the stress that goes with unemployment.
Kopenney, I wish you the best of luck with your dealer training! hug I wonder if the hearing loss will affect the job? Dontknow I don't think you would have to hear very much to understand what people want... I guess it depends on what the game is. Not sure. Best of luck, though! Sorry to hear you are struggling...hug

I sure wished I would have bought more of those Ziploc steamer bags when the 16 Q was out...I LOVE those things! throw in veggies, fresh herbs, seasoning, then microwave. YUMMY! Whee
Those bags are awesome! I loved them when I first got them and was able to steam vegetables so quickly! And they came out great!! DD wasn't too crazy for the veggies Coverlaugh, but I liked them!

Teehee Once I sang to DD very loudly with crazy songs to keep her awake for a 20 min ride. She was so bleary eyed, I felt so bad. It wasn't an option to let her sleep at the moment. She stayed awake...probably horrified at my terrible singing. She did learn her numbers 1-10 due to it!

I searched the thread and did not see this posted. I'm sorry if it is a repost.

Went to Target yesterday and they are starting their HUGE summer shoe clearance. I bought tons of shoes for my daughter for anywhere from $3.24 to $3.74. At my store they were pulling large pallets out of the back, with about 8 giant boxes of shoes on each pallet. The ladies putting the shoes out told me that they had 4 more carts in the back and would be doing the rest over the next few days.

Again, this is YMMV and is at the B&M only. A different Target I went to the day before that only had a few shoes and was only up to 50% on a few select pairs. This is a heads-up to start stalking your Target for this sale, if you aren't already. =)

I've been working 18 hour days this week - ugh! Not much time for shopping. I finally had a bit of time today but was having trouble motivating. I'd been to target once this week and didn't use a single coupon OMG - I don't think I've done that since I started t'ing. I needed to get some mattress covers and didn't have time to do a full run. Thankfully I had a GC Whistling

Anyway, I did a big trip today. Rain x Big Grin I've got a ton of 7/31 Qs and I'm already worried that I won't get through them. I just hate it when great Qs expire.

So we bought a "big boy" bed for my oldest and it was delivered this week. He looks so small in that twin bed. I was really busy this week (see 18 hour days reference above), so I was totally in "Get 'er done" mode when buying a mattress this week. I bought a really nice mattress for him and thought I got a decent deal (considering that I wasn't in "SD" mode, but "Get 'er done" mode) but DH was a bit surprised when I told him what I spent. Is $370 ($400 after tax) a lot to spend on a twin mattress???

No it's not. Average around here is $500. On target.com lowest is $550 with boxspring, 449 without. So you did fine. I only know that as we researched twin bed options before deciding to move DS to toddler one
