The one good thing about my minivan...the stow and go. When it's raining and I'm parked in the carpool line, I just pop the seats into the floor and the 2 little kids have a 4 x 8 room to play in while we wait! woot Well, I'm not sure of the exact size but you can fit a standard piece of plywood in there with a tad bit of room left.

Crazy4VS ~ Ok, call me dense..tell me why the "new" update is so bad. I read it as it is only changing the MQ/TQ per item and blocking known frauds like the old 5/25 toy coupon.

Read crazy's attachment in deals. Wish I would have waited until after my trip.I just ordered more q's last night. GRRRR No way I'll use them in time. May have to take a day off to try next week.

Guess we'll have to wait and see how it turns out for the new update. I'm hoping it's not a big deal and deals more with TQs than MQs. The nice thing is the "if the POS accepts it, it's valid. No questions asked!" part... Who's gonna be guinea pigs? LOL!

OK, I read it as a coupon will be automatically adjusted down if the price was over the item amount. Like the airwick Qs adjusting down to 5.99. So no more legit overage. Hopefully that doesn't include legit overage from using a TQ with it. And hopefully that is all that changes. I wonder how that will change $/# Qs, like the easy mac cups being $1/2 and beepage on that. I am worried that I need to get all my Christmas shopping done in 3 weeks just in case though.

It might not be a bad update. We will have to see. The person that sent it to me doesn't know either. The only thing that concerns me is the different sizes. nod

The person did tell me they will be doing a test in MN for coupons loaded to cell phones. That is a good thing because you can stack paper coupons on top of those at other stores. So another way to get some extra savings.

He is a young 5 - turned 5 July 11th. So ank220, yes, we have considered that maybe he's not ready socially. Academically, he is 100% ready. So when the preschool teacher, pediatrician, and now the social worker at the new school tell me he is ready for kindergarten and we agree as his parents, we feel we made the right choice. They are learning colors this week...the social worker said on Friday he already knew all his colors and seemed a little bored like why am I here?

Daddy took him today and while he was apprehensive, he went in without a fight. I really think it has a lot to do with his separation anxiety issues with me. So we'll keep having Daddy take him for as long as is needed and then transition over to me. He even asked me to take him today and promised he wouldn't cry when I left, but as we know, kids can't be trusted! laugh out loud So I just Pray that it continues to get better. He is more like me than I ever realized.

Yes, but since the 5/25 toy coupon was really just the coupon with the picture and some text deleted, how are they going to block fraudulent ones without also blocking legit ones? The barcodes are the same.

I really don't understand how they will adjust down coupon values for mfr's coupons and they already do adjust TQs down, so this will be interesting.

Technically they shouldn't be adjusting the MQ's. They are reimbursed face value plus 8 for the handling fee. That is fraud on their part when you think about it. When the coupons get to the clearing house they are all scanned on large belts. The computer is picking up what the coupon scans for, not what they write on it. The only coupons that have intervention are the coupons that don't scan and they are entered manually.

The only way for them to do that would be to use the right barcode EEK! otherwise, using the left barcode only, it could be any product or any q.

Just stopping in for a second...I have a new to-do list for today. Matt just got laid off from the railroad Frown

His boss is super nice and a real family oriented man with young kids. He felt awful about having to let people go and he tried everything to keep him. He said it was one of the hardest things he had to do because they are actually friends. Nothing he could do, but he did give Matt some time (2 weeks) to find another job or apply for unemployment. He has 3 more people to let go...

I see your stories and my heart goes out to those of you laid off or with DH's laid off. It's one of those things that doesn't feel real until it happens to you.
