Wow! Got 2 orders of 4. One for me, one for my wife. Thanks OP! Submitting receipts to insurance now.

Unfortunately, the insurance companies are playing the "we weren't ready for this" game. At least with Horizon, getting reimbursed requires printing out forms and sending itemized receipts through the mail. I ordered some of theses tests yesterday, but when I saw the reimbursement process I canceled it. Apparently eventually you'll be able to just show your insurance card at certain pharmacies and not have to pay any upfront cost, even online. But most insurance companies are probably weeks away from that, at best. Right now the best option seems to be to just order the free tests from the government.
Or pay the 20 and save receipts to send in to your carrier, or eat the 20 because nothing is free

See if any store has $14 price available and then order it, some reasons I am seeing the price as $14. Costco doesn't tax their kit but Walmart does tax.

To those of you getting this and submitting the reimbursement claims to insurances, I hope you realize you will only be reimbursed up to $12, which is the maximum that all insurances agreed to unless you check out through their pharmacy. Check with your insurance before impulse buying these. These will not be free and count against your monthly maximum.
It's up to $12 per test, there are two rests in the box.

Yes. So you can buy 4 boxes. 8 tests total and be reimbursed in full.

Get 4 tests for free on the USPS website instead. These used to be $5 less, sad that in a time of need they gouge further.
They are gouging since most insurance plans cover 8 per member per month

There's no workaround. COVID tests come in pairs.

From my reimbursement form: please indicate the number of tests in total, not number of boxes. For example, 1 box was purchased with 2 tests, indicate 2 tests in total.

Where were you able to find the $12 amount on your insurance information? I have Cigna and am not able to find a limit anywhere. They just say that the tests will be covered whether it is purchased in-network or out-of-network.

Also, is the $12 per test or total for 8 tests?
