Can you please explain the process a bit so I can replicate?

I am also looking for the same. Can we submit it online?
Just Google your health care company name and 'Covid test kit reimbursement' .. You will get the required info
To be fair it's because the Biden admin asked them to sell them "at cost" for a period of time. Then when that expired it went back up in price.
Unfortunately, the insurance companies are playing the "we weren't ready for this" game. At least with Horizon, getting reimbursed requires printing out forms and sending itemized receipts through the mail. I ordered some of theses tests yesterday, but when I saw the reimbursement process I canceled it. Apparently eventually you'll be able to just show your insurance card at certain pharmacies and not have to pay any upfront cost, even online. But most insurance companies are probably weeks away from that, at best. Right now the best option seems to be to just order the free tests from the government.
At CVS, which didn't participate in the agreement with the White House, a Quidel kit — which costs $12 wholesale — still sells for $23.99.
Keep in mind, the pharmacy has to process them as a prescription to bill your insurance. I highly doubt any pharmacy out there is slow enough that they can prioritize something like a covid test when they've got 50+ real prescriptions due in the next hour or so, plus covid shots, swab testing, etc. I would expect them to make you come back if you want to have them process your insurance for you.
Highly recommend everyone buy them and submit for reimbursement through your insurance.
