It's an unpowered hub, so it's going to be limited to the power specs of USB 3.0, which limited total power to all devices on the hub (shared) to 0.9W.

That's going to be a slow charge for any modern device (smart phone, etc.). It's enough for a flash drive, a mouse, a keyboard, etc. though not necessarily all at once.

It will be fine for a USB keyboard + mouse simultaneously. If you are actively using a USB flash drive, you may experience performance issues with the flash drive due to power deficit.

I'm charging my iPhone on it right now. But it's more like a trickle charge, not a rapid charge.

Technically, it does have a port for extra power. It's a thin cylindrical hole.

I use these to turn on my LED light strip in my office when I feel like it rather than using the remote

Wish they were made exact same configuration and exact same undetached cable (hate USB b micro), but with 7 ports instead of 4 ... Couldn't find any for a long time, need it to attach under laptop mount shelf, currently using one with USB b micro and without proper support for cable it suck

Bought this one for my kiddo's computer desk so she can turn on and of all her lights - desk lamps and LEDs - at once. Nicely build and very useful. I couldn't find a C-in, A-out hub with buttons, but you likely could just use a C>A adapter with this hub. There are plenty of CiAo hubs though without buttons.

A little bit late, any solid rigid after that extends the arm of resistance farther out then a simple plug-in device, greatly increases the chances of breaking the ports. However if they sell an adapter cable, rather than the rigid adapter oh, it would work excellently
