25000 hours in 4 years? Isn't that like 17 hours a day? That's like a lot of media consumption.

If you are only getting burn in after 4 years with 17 hrs/day, then I have nothing to worry about lol.

Not to mention that was on a B7, a much older OLED. The burn-in issues seem largely corrected, especially given the TVs immediately pivot to screen saver black screen after 1-2 minutes of inactivity/static screen.

Just take this price and walk it over to Video Only if you're in the SF Bay Area. They price matched my ability to go to a AAFES store and gave me an extra 10% off to match the tax freeness. I'm sure they would match the gift card. You can ask for a 5 year extended warranty for free match also.

I would never buy a screen from newegg.
After my last experience with a video card almost 10 or 11 years ago, I wouldn't buy a paper clip from them! I've successfully been a Newegg non-customer for a very long time lol

New Egg is a shell company and specialize in drop shipments. They make a very small fee on each sale - probably less than a credit card fee. It's not worth it for them to take in returns. They're basically a third party Amazon seller, but with zero accountability. The extra hundred or so to buy from Costco with a 7 year warranty is completely worth it.

Costco. 7 year warranty and 2 percent from CC. Plus the streaming credit. I am a Costco fan boy.

Warranty doesn't cover burn in.
Have had a LG OLED B6 well around 6 years. Screen saver and built in maintenance app that clears any shadows has kept ours perfect. Just be mindful if you are watching banner channels like CNN or ESPN.

That said if you watch that much CNN ..... You have bigger issues then screen burn in. 😂

Newegg cam be very sketchy with returns. It would need to be way less to risk that large a purchase with them.
I purchased a 65" samsung qled, the qn8 series if I remember correctly, back in 2018. It was brand new and they had a promo 3 years no interest equal payments with my newegg card. Shipping was delayed, then I received a call that it MAY have been broken in shipping. I worked with the shipping company and newegg to arrange for them to wait for me to open it while they were still at my house. It arrived with several holes in the box (someone had stuck a fork lift through it /rollseyes). But, the Styrofoam was all in tact and it looked great when I pulled it out of the box. Sure enough though, the panel was borked. They packed it back up and took it with them and newegg shipped out another. It was a bit of an ordeal, but accidents happen. Wasn't neweggs fault. The second panel arrived a couple weeks later and it's been great ever since (other than the two dead on arrival pixels that samsung sent out a person to look at and said it was "within specs") Apparently the "guarantee" they offer has allowances for so many pixels per inch that are allowed to not function. If you didn't know that... now you do.

...I bought this TV last week, and while there the Costco store person reminded me that if I had the Costco credit card, it added 2 years to the warranty. So, for $1799 I have this TV under full warranty for 7 (SEVEN) years. I can't imagine it makes it that long, but in my opinion, that's yet another great reason to buy at Costco.
If a TV can't last 7 years then it's junk.
My Panasonic Plasma set has been in daily use for 11 years and the picture still looks good.

Agreed.

Return policy is only 90 days at Costco though, if it doesn't break in 90 days, this Newegg deal is better.

If you have a local VIDEO ONLY store (West Coast ONLY), the following are the prices for the LG OLED C1 Model. 5yrs in-home extended warranty is additional $99 (does NOT include burn-in). Prices advertised online changes during the weekdays and weekends are usually the cheapest. I got free delivery too since I'm only 5 miles away from the San Mateo, CA store. I just purchased the 65" and will be delivered next Wed. The prices listed below is with trade-ins but was informed it's not necessary to have one to get that price. Basically you can recycle your old TV or keep it and you get the same price. 30 days exchange policy too. if your car is big enough, you can take home same day if they have it in stock. Good Luck!

OTD price for 65" C1 Brand New including 5yrs extended warranty and free local delivery was $1,750
(This would be similar to Costco, but their price is $1800 +tax)

48" $1099
55" $1199
65" $1499
77" $2499
83" $4199

the deal still going on.

Ordered it on 2/2 and got it on 2/4 via Ontrac delivery (no Freight delivery). Everything works great. I was skeptical about the no-refund/return, but everything turned out well. No damage to box or contents. The $175 visa card got activated the same day that I ordered /w 4-year burn-in protection.

The included warranty is from CPS. Reviews for CPS are pretty dismal - don't count on them honoring their warranty.
