Not entirely true. Things like dollar spot and brown patch are not necessarily good. Mushrooms are a positive sign of healthy soil..but other fungus are not

It's a great product. I have tall fescue which is prone to get Brown Patch at certain times of the year depending on the conditions. I use it as a preventative measure or as a treatment when I forget to put it down. I used to buy Heritage G which has the same active ingredient. Brown patch will take your lawn out if you don't control it.

Yes. it is labeled for snow mold so can be used as preventive in November or spring. Use before the ground freezes as it is absorbed by roots.

I used to use this till last year and worked well. To make it more economical I have switched to liquid concentrate which gives me equivalent (by weight) Active ingredient for $2.87

Azoxystrobin Active Ingredient (AI) content per DiseaseEx bag of 10 lbs = 0.31% x 10 lbs = 0.031 lbs of AI for $13.40 + tax

With spray concentrate (Azoxy 2SC) that I shared with a neighbor I got 1.08 lbs AI for $100 + tax

fungi are very healthy for a lawn. this is ridiculous. if you use pesticides and BS like this why not just replace your lawn with an artificial one??
except when they kill the whole thing. This is designed to kill brown patch/redthread/etc which will wipe out the grass in a lawn in a week.

That doesnt seem to line up. Azoxy 2SC is 112 per 16 oz. Thats 7 bucks an oz.

With the guidance of turf: Broadcast 0.38 - 1.35 oz. in 2 to 4 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. (1.1 - 3.7 pints per 100 gallons of water per acre)

Lets assume your app level is in the middle at .75 oz per 1000, 3.75oz per 5000 sqft. So, 26 bucks an application.

So to cover 5000 sqft you need 3.75 oz,

Is this good to use as a preventative against bad fungi, or is this something you should only use if you have an active problem?
active infestation applies at double the rate (so each bag only applies over 2500sqft). The 5000sqft per bag is for preventative.

I got Azoxy 2SC gallon jug for $200 last year from local coop. The price you see is right for 16 fl oz online stores.

The 1.08 lb was equivalent dry ai weight in suspended concentrate of 64 fl oz. Also my preventive application rate is 0.77 fluid oz per 1000 sq ft. I use higher only for snow mold prevention app in November before the ground freeze in mid Missouri

Thats a fantastic price. Do you have a brand/etc so others could find that gallon jug?

Acadia 2SC is the product name and it is labeled for use on Turf. It was purchased in December 2020 by my neighbor for split and share use from ChemicalWarehouse.com . Prices have gone up significantly this year. If you cannot share a bulk purchased jug then look for Strobe 50WG 1 lb for about $158 or so - it has a sticker shock but still cheaper for the long run.
