TVs are great, merchant is fine, but don't buy this for the warranty.

They use CPS for that warranty which is essentially useless. CPS has removed years from my warranty for no reason (I only found out because they emailed me trying to "upsell" me back those years) and refused to correct the years even with the invoice and receipt, so I had to get the merchant on the line to fight with them. Even once corrected, If you try calling them for anything they will find a way to make it impossible to complete your claim.
Sorry it happened to you but this is not a widespread issue, LG has above average reliability and is a quality TV brand, should have bought a warranty I guess?
To my eyes an OLED's PQ is superior to any LED technology I have seen.

Anyone have experience with the warranty? Have found some conflicting reports that CPS warranty covers burn-in
CPS warranty does not cover burn in and based on the vast majority reviews, they won't even cover an issue if it does happen.

As an lg oled owner, image quality is amazing but you're gonna need that burn in warranty.

Burn in is rare for oled. But the sub pixel does died slowly during used. Brighter, longer use, and shock can get it weaken or dead earlier. But the normal lcd also has dead back light. One of my lcd work ok for over 10 year no problem. Another live for 3 years and now with multiple dead back light.

I would recommend buying new oled and only buy 1 at a time. When you see the burning, move it to the kitchen -> bed room -> kid bed room -> guest bed room -> toilet... -> resell it for half price.

One guy bought an oled each year for the last 4 years. He made over $17k per month.

He is still too poor for micro led tv.

Just got a refund of $170 + tax to my payment method. Much better than the eBay credit I was expecting and much faster than the estimated 2-4 week time frame on the listing.

It looks like the price listed is before credit, so if you want to do the match and take $170 off, it gets even sweeter.
what match?

I finally pulled the trigger at this price it seems great.

But I am buying it literally only as a gaming screen to work as a second monitor on my computer.

I got a 3080 TI graphics card and I'm wanting that sweet sweet video goodness.

My monitor is 21:9 g sync 100hz but it doesn't do hdr, or 4k. Or faster than 100hz.

But I'm gonna keep using that as my main desktop screen so I'm not worried about burn in.
I switched back to some 120hz IPS monitors after using my OLED for about a year or two as my main screen. How's it going? Well I just sold my 120hz IPS monitors and am buying this 48 inch OLED to use as my main monitor.

Can you give me explain the "match" you're referring to? Buying here would get me the 48" for $1096, also get a $100 credit for future eBay purchase. I can get 5% back from Chase freedom, bringing the price to ~$1042.

The advertised "eBay credit" is actually just a partial refund, probably to get around manufacturer pricing requirements.

This comment is so dependent on that particular person and their room setup. If you are viewing this size OLED tv from a distance greater than ~6 or 7 feet, it doesn't make much sense to purchase for most people. The deep black color will still be there for HDR content, but the image quality will not showcase the TVs ability from a long distance. If you're viewing it from a distance of less than ~7 feet, still well worth it. Especially at this price or less. I own the 65" C7 and now the 48" C1. My 65 is on a wall and I watch from about 9 feet away. My 48 is about 5 feet away in my bedroom.
