This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

T-Force via twitter had already submitted an unlock request for me last night. It's been 12hrs+ and the device is not unlocked yet. Is that possible the request got denied? Should I contact again for another unlock request?
Not sure . But only after installing T-Mobile app in my phone my phone got unlocked.

So once I have used my friends account to get this deal, I pick up the phone and make sure they don't insert the sim and activate it on my friend's account? What happens if they insist on activating it? Will it take over my friend's number on that iPhone?

Also, I'm on google fi, how should I go about getting this phone unlocked so I can use it?
Fi uses TMo towers so not sure that's an issue. Most Best Buy reps let you walk out with the sealed box. Scanning the SIM card taped to the outside of the box does nothing to the existing phone service. If they unbox and stick in the new SIM there is a risk that service will move to the new phone - possible but unlikely. Tell them you have everything ready at home to restore your backup and you don't need the help

Thanks. For a TNXed line, does the SIM card work as Hot SIM meaning throw it in any device and it would work or u still need to follow Sprint method...activate the device using that SIM card? Thanks

My S21 (Tmo model) recently upgraded to Android 12 and eSIM finally work so I would think S21+ would be the same. Having said that usage isn't as intuitive and seamless as iOS because you can only choose which sim be the primary vs. iOS where you can choose which sim can be the primary voice, which is primary data...
Thanks, have you flashed the international ROM to enable the eSIM or it is supported by default?

So i picked up two new phones and traded in my wife and I's old phones. I threw in our old SIM cards and i cant seem to get anything set up or activated. Was there anything special anyone else did to get this to all work? I am scared to throw in the new SIM in case it borks up my account or anything. Im also curious if the dude at BB entered in some random information that would force this to require my phones to use the new SIMs?
Back in December I upgraded two iPhones using T-Mobile promotion at Best Buy. In both cases, after trading-in the old iPhones, I "activated" the new iPhones using the new SIMs provided by Best Buy along with the new iPhones. Best Buy sent a link to my email account that I used to initiate that activation. In any case, I just threw out my old SIMs, used the new ones - even moving them around between various phones on my T-Mobile account - and it hasn't impacted my T-Mobile account or plan in any way (other than properly billing for the new EIPs I agreed to as part of the upgrades). Here's the instructions I followed - note that I had the new SIMs in the new iPhones when I followed them ...

Thanks! Only thing I'm afraid of is it somehow locks to google fi and google fi says it's not their phone and tmo refuses to unlock it, I saw some like that with visible on the prior thread

I used tmo sim activated the phone and my Fi sim can also work after phone was activated. I think other tmobile mvno like mint would work too. But it probably won't work other way around.

Thanks! That makes me a lot at ease. Just a question, did you use the tmo sim Included with the purchase? Were you using a friend to just get the phone before switching to fi?
