Not a big fan but I know some folks here love these.

Saw these on clearance at my local walmart. YMMV of course. Happy hunting! $99 online. $84 in store.

These are fine speakers. Similar to the originals, but the Bluetooth implementation is horrible. No security so if you live in an apartment complex or something like that it's bad. Anyone can connect to them at any time without a code and play music, and all you can do about it is unplug them.

I was honestly relieved when the Bluetooth module finally died in mine after about 9 months. They've been great since.

So be aware of that if you buy them. You may end up wanting to disable the module some day.

I am seeing a lot in stock at $64

From the reviews most people like the sound but not the fact that most say there is an annoying hum while wired or Bluetooth. That and you can't tun them off without unplugging it. And many reviewers (actually a lot) say one speaker will stop working. I see them for $64 around me but I really don't have the time to waste on speakers that have all those bugs and a probable short life. -and that's if the store definitely has them. Factor in brickseek and you can forget it. I'm out.

I checked Brickseek yesterday and saw it was still showing 4-5 units at a local Walmart. Checked again today and it was no longer showing any stock. But I happened to be in the area so stopped in and found one sitting on the shelf.

Combined with a cheap 1st or 2nd gen Echo Dot, these blow away any standalone smart speaker on the market. Of course they do take up a lot more room. That said, ya can't beat an Echo Dot combined with an old $20.00 receiver and a decent pair of bookshelf speakers if you value sound quality.

I have the older thx version of these speakers and they are still going strong after over 8 years of use. Only thing I've had to do was buy a sub repair kit on eBay for $15 and replaced foam around the sub. Not sure about these but I got my set used for around $85. Something to consider if Bluetooth isn't that important.

Ended up returning mine yesterday (80016 in case anyone cares) $64

Loved the originals and these sound pretty much the same and just as loud, there definitely is a hum when idle on aux input (white light).

Was going to use these in my basement for workout area, but mounting distance and position is limited due to length of satellite speaker wires (yes, I could solder/join the wires to extend or DIY take a apart the satellites) and the preamp connection (shown on page 3 http://assets.klipsch.com/product...al-v02.pdf)

I've been using these for a few weeks now. Off the bat I set them up with my TV via Bluetooth. I was impressed at how much better it was than the TV. Next I set them up for their original purpose as computer speakers. The quality is great and the subwoofer really makes for an immersive experience.

The subwoofer adds additional cables but these can be hidden around a desk with wire holders and what not.

I know Bluetooth mode allows anyone to connect without a pass code. This is annoying but I've been using it with the 3.5mm cable with my PC so it won't affect me in that mode. The biggest gripe I have is that the speakers can't be turned off.

Since I primarily use headphones, I'll be attaching a smart plug and using that to keep the system powered off when not in use.

I got these last year from Costco. sounds nice for movies and music. I actually replaced my Sony hts350 sound bar for a little while with these because it just sounded better. but the humming is annoying. touch the end tip that plugs to any speaker outlet and the hum gets even louder. actually, 1 more minor issue. the on light on the speaker is ridiculously bright. a price of tape will fix it. other than that, great and loud speaker set. probably gonna get another one for the garage.
