Who's running multiple 15a max tools at the same time on a 15a circuit? These are 14 gauge, 15amp rated cords at 25 feet, it'll be fine.

So no issues when it rains, or gets a bit floody?

Got these a few years back when they were on sale, have survived multiple christmas's outside in the snow. The cover connectors can become weak/brittle being out in the elements, but they've survived 2 winters under the snow in New England well.

Edit: Actually picked up a few more for my workshop as these would be perfect for spacing out the 15 amp tools.
the 2nd picture literally is telling you that what you want to do is not recommended for this gauge...hope you have a good insurance policy and escape plan

#14 is fine for running things like Christmas lights and decorations or low voltage lighting. Mitre cut saw our large tools probably not but 15amp up to even a 50' cord on 14 gauge is fine for most uses.

I'm sorry the idiocracy-like infographic doesn't have a picture of a table saw on the 14. But it says right there that 14 is fine for 15amps at 25 ft length. If these were connecting to other surge protectors or cords sure, but these are going straight to the outlet.

I said 15 amps in my original posting and people are losing their mind, most of the tools don't pull anywhere near that unless under heavy load, and the dust collection is on a different circuit.

Can look elsewhere too, but 14awg is fine for most of these purposes: https://www.homes.com/blog/2018/0...sion-cord/

I do have 12awg cords as well, but for these short runs it doesn't matter.

It should also be noted that depending on where you live and when your house was built, your 15 amp circuits are also likely wired on 14awg copper as that's within code https://inspectapedia.com/electri...020%20amps.

I picked up a very similar cord from Home Depot a few years back, and it's been extremely handy for Christmas lights, when camping (read: glamping...the girls require power to their tent, and we have LED lights elsewhere on the site), etc. At this price, I'll add a couple more to my collection.

Great idea, grabbed one for same situation. Not sure why all the fuss, we're not talking about running a table saw for hours or several tools at once; this will suffice just fine given it's only 25'.

Not a good idea unless you want a fire in your future.
I would assume most tools are cordless, unless they're using something power hungry like a table saw or a miter saw. In those scenarios, I'd be more worried about chopping a limb off if using both tools at once instead of a fire.

The guy who plows my driveway destroyed a few of my extension cords (that had gone across the driveway) the other day. In for a few.

Amazon says 15.97, but when added to the cart, it's 18.45. That's wacky.
