I'll also point out that Best Buy had the Steelbook for pre-order for $30, but it was available off and on. They now show it for $35 but aren't accepting pre-orders currently.

I pre-ordered the steelbook from BB on 12/24 when it was $26.99. What the heck, inflation is no joke

Edit:

After reading a post from a very polite SDer on the next page it seems I forgot about a $3 coupon that was temporarily available to everyone who paid with a BB credit card? It doesn't show a -$3.00 discount in the email confirmation nor under the order details of my account, ...otherwise I would've noticed/remembered this small detail from over a month ago:
