Seen this deal while searching for a good impact setup. Reviews seem to show these are nice other than the big bottom. Also, note Rigid has a lifetime warranty.

What is the zipcode you are using for $199?

Yes if one uses a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter it will take up an inch or so of length and cost a bit of peak torque reduction but still why would one buy an entirely separate tool when one owns the identically performing 1/2 version instead of using an impact rated adapter?

I guess it is like having a backup tool if one breaks but with the lsa warranty that seems less compelling.

Can one swap anvil sizes on these if one really wanted a drive size change for a while?

I can't imagine needing both of these. I just ordered the 3/8ths one for $99 recently. I was on the fence about going up to the 1/2" for $150, however for as much as I am going to use it I couldn't justify it.
