I own this watch in this exact color way. Invicta haters regularly come out of the woodwork, trash this watch and then recommend something costing two or three times as much. For $45, this thing is a steal. It's powered by a well regarded Seiko automatic movement and the case is all stainless steel and nicely finished. And the exhibition caseback is just plain cool. People who will nitpick over the mineral versus sapphire crystal, alumimun vs ceramic bezel, hollow endlinks and pressed steel clasp seem to lose sight of the fact that we're talking about a sub $50 automatic watch.

Legitimate reasons not to buy this watch:

If you don't appreciate the old fashioned charm of automatic (self-winding mechanical) movements, look elsewhere.
If you hate the idea of a Submariner homage, look for an original design. But but don't harp on Invicta for copying Rolex's iconic design, because they're far from the only company that does this.
If you're willing to brave the wild world of Aliexpress and other Chinese retail sites, you can get a similar Submariner homage with better specs for not a lot more ($75-$100)
The Invicta logo engraved on the side of the case bugs the crap out of some people.
Are you sure you want a dive watch? It gets its 200 meter water resistance in part due to its screw down crown, as does just about every other dive watch on the planet. If you forget to screw that crown back down after setting the time and get it wet, even once, you WILL ruin your watch.
Considering current situation.... Vostok might not be a best suggestion.
Invicta's QC and manufacturing processes have come a long way. Gold tone actually looks like gold. They use the TMI NH35a automatic movements like Seiko does and while they aren't as smooth as a NE88, Swiss made 25 jewel automatic they are decently accurate (but not Quartz accurate)

For this price nothing can touch it. There are better watches to be had albeit at a 300% increase in price.

I definitely wouldn't buy this in gold or stainless steel.... In big cities, too many people getting mugged for watches and I'm sure these crooks can't tell the difference between this and a Rolex from a distance.

I'm not getting mugged over a flashy $50 watch.

...but if they made one blacked out I would probably buy

Don't buy sub-150 dollars Automatic. I would at least spend $200 for half-decent automatic. This after my trial and error with Invicta/cheaper Seikos. If you cant spend that much, get a Casio/Timex/Citizen.

I wish there were other colors! I like the design and auto watches are cool IMO, but this is too flashy looking for me.

Arrived yesterday, very handsome watch, has just as much weight to it as my rolex and feels good. Does appear to be off by about 2 seconds per day but I can deal with that, I'm not using my wristwatch to time any ones 40. For $45 I'm perfectly happy with what I received.

These are perfect watches to start with if you want to get into modifying. I got 2 similar Invicta models a few black Fridays ago for something like $37 a piece. I modified them and gave them to people when i was done. Invicta gets alot of hate but these specific models are decent for people that are on a budget. I'd personally get something like a seiko, orient or vostok for a starter automatic diver but thats just me.

I'm planning to do the same, and to change the dial and crystal.

What mods did you do? Do the skx007 mod parts fit it, including bezel and bezel inserts? Thanks!

If you're into Seiko MODing, the automatic movement alone is worth it.
That is exactly why I am buying it! It's worth it for the movement and case alone.

I received the watch today and I'm confused regarding the bezel. I've looked in the actual Invicta page and they have 3 different shades of blue with 2 different bezels for the same model! Even the inside ring is supposed to be gold not silver. The fonts are also different...

Check the bezel. It's different on Amazon. And on the official website too.

I have this exact make/model. Lots of Youtube videos- general consensus is that it's unbeatable for the price.

Looks great, solid links, Seiko internals, fine detail/alignment, and seems surprisingly durable (coming from someone who is brutal on watches).

For casual, the Casio Duro is probably preferable for most. But if you're after a classy looking diver without needing to dive to the bottom of the ocean for treasure to buy it, it's an excellent, excellent watch.

I'm a scuba diver. I have a Rolex Submariner, an Omega Seamaster, and this particular Invicta. All three are capable scuba dive watches. The Omega and Rolex are over priced. IMHO; this Invicta watch is the best value of the bunch. This watch has been down to 100' with me many times, and still looks and works great. Money well spent. I can't have the other two serviced for 5 times the price of the Invicta. I look at the Invicta as the Toyota Corolla, the Omega as the Cadillac and the Rolex as the Rolls Royce. This Invicta model has been good to me.
