First of all, this Firman is a new model. Second, their inverter generators are fine in outputting clean power just like other brands. The sine wave distortion problem is with their non inverter generator models.

Update: The Firman WH03242 model has <3% THD at full load which is lower than the 5% requirement to be considered as clean power for sensitive electronics. This Champion also mentions <3% THD.

The Firman one is on wheel. It really depends on where and how you are going to use it. You want to carry 40 pounds by hand or 110lb on wheels. If you are keeping it in the garage at home and only bring it out for emergency use, I will prefer the wheels and save my back. If you need to travel with it, then a couple smaller unit would be more convenient to be loaded into your vehicle. The main question is whether 2500W peak is sufficient for you or not. I got a 2200W Sportsman dual fuel for ~$350 a couple years ago. It works fine for powering a fridge, a chest freezer, and a few chargers. If I see the same price again, I probably would get another one for parallel connection even it is nosier than the Firman 4000W for the same output.
For quality, I am sure the Champion one is better, but the Firman is backed by Costco return policy. Lastly, I highly recommend getting one with electric start instead of recoil.
