Not a bad price, but it's Newegg + Gigabyte, just in case you are like me in search for a new monitor.

Any idea how color accurate these are? My wife needs a new monitor and she wants to stick to ultra wide and it needs to be decently color accurate

The menu joystick control WILL break and you will not be able to make any changes to the settings. To fix it you have to pay shipping back to gigabyte and it will cost you around $150. Wish I never bought this monitor…..

Sorry to hear, how long in did it do this for you? I didn't see any complain in reviews.

About 1 year. If you search the model number and joystick control problems you'll find people with the issue. If you still want to get the monitor I'd get a good warranty from someone on it.

This will most likely be an overkill for a office work monitor. But it depends on what you do in the office.

I'm using a monitor with similar size and resolution for coding-like work. It works well for that.

I've had this monitor for 1 1/2 years. It's a great display.
I went with this vs the Samsung G5 UW bc it had higher ratings on Rtings.
It's a bit brighter that Samsung. The colors are really good for gaming and work if that's what you're needing it for. Plenty of space on this 34inch with 2k. With 2k pixels are just right.

Don't say no bc of a few people had bad experiences. Go with the overall reported reviews. Again it's an excellent monitor and don't manhandle the back controller like the other person may have. (Not saying he did, but possible that's what happened)
For 390 dollars + tax it's not cheap sure. But it's a LOT of space to work with as you can open two youtube viewing space on your browsers side to side.

I'd have plenty of RAM to utilize browsers/applications to work with ease.
A definite point I want to make is this monitor is 1000R vs the Samsung G5 which is 1500R. The 1500R is definitely more aggressive in curvature. The 1000R on this Gigabyte is much more easier and less stress on your eyes and your brain which is used to viewing no curvature on these displays.

The 1500R curve on anything smaller WILL MESS WITH YOU EYES! Don't buy any monitor with such a high curve angle under 34 inches! It will screw with you!
So again Gigabyte's stuff has never let me down including monitors and videocards and this ultrawide screen is definitely a winner. About 200 dollars less than your comparable goto Samsung G5.

Newegg plus gigabyte is the holy combination of poor customer support.

Just got this from Amazon last week for $409. Been very happy with it so far. I'm still playing with calibration for different uses but Reader mode while I'm using it as an office screen for work is excellent.

With an ultrawide, you can get 3-up browser windows, or for coding, browser + terminal + ide, or 2/3rds ide + browser, which is what I usually prefer.

The 1440px height is important, coding on 1080 isn't great.

The two downsides for productivity that I find on a monitor like this is having to move your eyes/head a lot and having a strange aspect ratio for screen sharing or video recording. People on zoom will look at you funny when you share a screen that doesn't somewhat match the aspect ratio of theirs.
