Buyers be aware: Slinkies this size don't go down stairs (alone or in pairs) anymore. at least, not on the stairs of today's homes. Steps have gotten a lot deeper, and the slinky coil has been shortened in the decades since its popularity. So don't be surprised if it runs out of steam after a couple steps.

its a good life lesson

a spring will work a long time within specified range

take it out of that range and it is forever compromised

there are much more expensive ways to learn that lesson

Na, these lasted 2 maybe 3 hours last deal when I got 'em for my kids Wink I am kinda curious how long they'd last this time now that my kids know how fragile they are.

I buy one of these everytime I move to new place because it always ends up in the throw away pile.

Anyways in for one.

Do you know a science teacher? Get them six of these. I order a bunch every year since they inevitably get ruined. Still, great for all kinds of physics experiments - especially circuits and magnetism!

I could never get a Slinky to go down more than a couple of steps anyway over 30 years ago, so I just stuck with my Lite-Brite.
