The reviews of the new "original" slinky are brutal. It's 20 rings shorter. Diameter shorter. There's a video of this and the classic slinky from decades ago side by side and it is no comparison. The new one can't even go two steps before it topples on its side. I was this close, but hard pass.

Agree 100%. For novelty but stay away if anyone expect this to be the original. Size is noticeably smaller, can't walk down stairs, well maybe in a dollhouse.

No one will even remember what this is from.

edit: saw someone else posted about log. Thats awesome. I have no idea what made me think of log when I saw this slinky.

Total waste of money. I bought it on the last sale and it's obviously smaller then why they used to be and worthless for the kids to play with

Waste of money. Do not buy. It is nothing like original slinky. It does not go down the stairs. It leaves residue on your hands. If you want it to protect bird food from squirrels then maybe. Just don't get it to play because you'll want to throw it out in less than minute after getting it.
