I wouldn't worry about it being overkill unless it just doesn't fit. I've literally never heard anybody say "I wish I'd bought worse speakers"

Yes, But the price is double. I just did from costco and because for the fact of warranty and piece of mind I'm just going to use these 625fa from costco. As they sound just perfect for my home theatre that I just set up and combined with 2 wireless sub from costco.
I am planning to use all speakers. Adorama cost is around 600 more.
Costco: Speaker - 900 (without sub), 200 Sub, 500 AVR = 1600. While bundle Adorama is 2200. Still thinking...

I agree especially since this klipsch subs model year had the amp failure problem. I got an svs pb-2000 and hoped they would have a sale on rp-280fa, rp-450c, and rp-160m combo but havent seen it yet. Fingers crossed we'll get one soon without the sub.

Just remember for this kind of money these speakers are going to need a good break-in period. Don't go blasting a bass heavy sci-fi/blast em up movie right outta the gate. Alot of the pro feedback is 60 to 100 hours of break-in for quality speakers. Start up with some high dynamic range music at comfortable listening levels and just let it play all day. Hope this helps!

Are the speakers damaged or just in open boxes? If you tell adorama they might give you a $20-$50 credit I think depending on the situation. Some people got some money back because the speaker arrived with a scratch but if the speakers are not damaged at all then they might not give u anything. Contact them with ur situation and see.

You paid for new you must get new. I would send them back unless they would give me a nice discount. Recently got a pair of rp-8000f from a different vendor and got close to $200 discount for minor cosmetic issues, btw they came in factory sealed. Ended up paying $850 for 2.
On another note I wouldn't get speakers with integrated atmos…

Odd that they pair the older towers with the newer center channel and newer bookshelf speakers. Even though I seriously doubt the "vented tweeter" that is in the newer models makes hardly any difference. As for Gabik123, I doubt it would be a good upgrade. Just buy a SVS sub and you will be happier.
Thank you! I only just saw this since I didn't get a notification of a reply.

I actually have a Dayton SUB-1200 and I'm going to keep that, and I'll sell my existing speakers setup along with the R-112 sub.

Mine came in as well. They sound great. I was a little worried at first about the center channel but turns out I suck at wiring speakers. After running Audessey I'm happy.

I got this offer. It's sounds amazing. My string recommendation would be to break in this speaker for atleast 20hrs. The difference is drastic

You can't get an SVS PB 2000 at the moment. Id strongly recommend HSU. The equivalent is a beast

Not much of a secret, but you're able to exclude pieces from the set by calling them or chatting. I had them take out the receiver and sub on the 8000 set awhile back.

When can I get a deal on just the RP-280F with or with out Atmos? I have everything else from the bundle I purchased one at a time.
