looks like its a kit that comes in one box, so cant return. im in the same boat, already have an ego blower but would like the trimmer. curious if i could resell the blower locally 'tool only'...

Should mention that I love the Ego Edger so if you're in the market for one, skip this because you can get the trimmer attachment. It's nice to carry the edge, whacker and bush trimmer all at one rather than 3 standalones.

Personally, I don't like the Ego string trimmer. It's TOO Long, Heavy, and does a crappy job of edging. I have been using a Black & Decker 20 Volt for years, and the only complaint I have about the BD 20 Volt tools is Battery life. Oh yeah the cost of OEM batteries is BS.

Appreciate you sharing that. I've been using a B&D 20v string trimmer for the last few years as well, and (as you said) it's been fine aside from the battery life. I've been seriously considering picking up an Ego trimmer but based on your experience it sounds like I should just save some money and buy another overpriced B&D battery...
