Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

To clarify, The plan mentioned on this thread is the Magenta tablet Unlimited (UL) plan w/10gb hotspot for $10.00. Many (including myself) are adding it with the free tablet promo. I didn't need a second tablet, so I was able to add the plan alone to my account. Just call them (800-937-8997) and give the correct promo code. ZB10HSTI
It make it easier for them to find then having to search through all their plans for the correct plan.
Unless you don't want to do 2 years of $10 unlimited data, isn't it better to get a free tablet?

I think like some stores are franchises and not corporate stores so like the people working depend more on commission, maybe they don't get much from just activating tablet line. You can try calling online and getting the plan.

I did it all online, didn't goto any store nor called. I only got the tablet line no voice line. The only issue is that like the plan i got was tax excluded, when i was trying to get tax inclusive plan it wasn't giving me free tablet promo. Also, some people while calling were able to get rep waive the $20 SIM starter kit fee.

I can post images on how to order online if you need more help but yeah, i didn't get voice line. Only got tablet line at $10/month + taxes and the free tablet promo (24 month bill credits)
TE or TI?

Looks fine to me. It's $10 base monthly plus the $8.34 monthly payment for tablet, minus $5 for autopay. You will receive a monthly credit to pay the tablet costs in theory bringing you back to $10.
Isn't it $5 and not $10?

$20 Online, $30 In-Store/Call. You can ask them to waive it, issue you credit for it. People said manager needed to come over and do it.

Thanks. Will call in to have them waive it. Should I call the Business # listed above or just regular customer service?

You need to research more for how to flash openwrt firmwares on specific routers.
The gl.inet also have some better routers with built-in openwrt support but they are more expensive.

So Flint GL-AX1800 is compatible and can be used to tether with Android 5G tablet that has EasyTether app? It's selling at Amazon for $99. Good price?

I was told by a Business rep that a $5 discount for autopay is only when you have a voice line. Just data line will not get a $5 discount for the autopay.

I bought online so only TE plan was giving Tablet Promo for some reason. Magenta is TI (Tax Inclusive). TE I think will cost around extra $1.50 fee + tax on top of $10 monthly, maybe $12/month. TI Plan will be $10 flat, it includes all tax and fees, but when buying online it wasn't giving me free tablet promo on TI/Magenta Plan($200 divided by 24 months as bill credits. Like they will charge me $8 each month and then give me $8 credit also, so like it is like $0, if you plan on keeping this plan for next 24 months)

I did financing, cause it is easier to budget I guess. It doesn't cost extra, it is 0% APR. I had to pay sales tax on it thought, it was around $18 according to 9 ish % sales tax in my area.

I don't think you will get the bill credits promo if you buy tablet outright. I am copy pasting details of offer below. But look it says need to go on monthly payment plan. I am attaching picture also so it is easier to read I hope.
Makes sense on financing. What if they change the terms of the plan in between, like increase the price of the plan, after 1 year, what happens to the tablet if we want to opt out of the plan? Do we owe the price of the tablet owed even if they change the terms of the plan?

I don't know about T-Mobile Business. But on a regular (personal) T-Mobile line, the price was always grandfathered in. I am still paying the same price from 8 years ago.

I grabbed the free tablet, but quickly found out that you had to be on the tax EXCLUSIVE version of the plan in order to get the credits, so I went back 2 hours later and returned it. (I want to stay tax inclusive.) Stated that there would be a $20 restocking fee, but they overrode it, since I was literally just there, and the tablet was still sealed.... I never even opened it.
Since the tax would be around $1.60, why wouldnt you want to take advantage of the $200 off on the tablet price and take the TE plan? You do end up getting tablet for what, $38 all taxes account for 24 months?

Mine is Tax excluded one lol and at checkout it was showing $5/month Autopay discount lol.

But no 5G though, I am sad now.
So TE gives you 4g and TI gives you 5G? I have an iPhone 12, maybe pop the sim in that and use the unlimited data on 5G?

Ignore that post, both plans give 5G, there is not autopay discount. Someone on reddit posted their speedtest in iPhone 13 Pro Max - 500 Mbps down - https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...e/i1umqph/

I think no 5G refers to the free tablet (A7 lite) not having 5G tech in the HW.

reading about the $2.6 savings in tax and fees. Specially dont have a need to buy a tablet, considering that, I am leaning more and more to get the T1 and save the hassle...

I asked them on Twitter and they wrote that TI plan does qualify with free tablet. I am attaching screenshot.
So whats the game plan? Are you planning to call to switch from TE to TI?
